Blackberry Wheat reviewed

5 comments:

  1. I would disagree with one point: being a girly beer. I didn't think this brew had that connotation. Fruit in your beer doesn't necessarily mean it is targeted for females.

OR, it is meant for females and I'm just defensive because I really like the Blackberry Wheat myself. :) Long Trail's version is good, but Sammy Adams version is my favorite.

  2. Belgian Lambics, Good Hefs with a Lemon or Orange Wedge are the kind of beers I introduce to my lady friends who claim they hate beer... there's nothing wrong w/ a "good" girly beer. Especially if you're a girl man (or lady) live it up. Who wrote this cartoon cuz that's how I talk (!)

  3. All my friends are dudes and they always rant about "girly" beers so I guess I blame them for me thinking that fruit beers are for the ladies. I mean, maybe all I'm thinking about is Bud Lite with Lime or Blue Moon's terrible orangeade aftertaste.

I've never had the Sam version of Blackberry but maybe it's because I dislike their cherry wheat...it's been ages since I've had it though...has it got better?

  4. Cherry wheat is an acquired taste. I can usually have 3/4 of a bottle and then I'm done with it.

Not to be confused with their Cranberry Lambic, which is an atrocity which should never be brewed again.

  5. Sam makes a Cranberry Lambic? That sounds so gross.
