Vermont might be one of the best states on the East Coast for beer. We have tons of breweries and a thriving homebrew community. It is a wonderful place and am glad I got to live here for just a short period of time. Little breweries like Hill Farmstead, The Alchemist and Lawson's make Vermont a destination for beer lovers. If you love beer and haven't been to Vermont, you're missing out. Now that I live in Oregon, I live in one of the best places for beer on the WEST coast.
I grew up in Connecticut but didn't get to experience great beer until my move to Boston in 2006 when I discovered the Sunset Grill and Tap Room, home to 112 taps and amazing buffalo wings. It was in Boston that I acquired my beer knowledge before leaving to move to Vermont for school and then leaving Vermont for Oregon. I started this website as a time-filler in May of 2010. This is my first review. I made over 100 reviews this year and will continue to do over 100 next year. Beer is like music -- it is infinite. That's what I like about this gig -- it's never done.
